UPDATED: A motorcyclist and an elderly woman have both been taken to hospital this morning (Friday) following a collision on The Downs near Knighton.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at the crossroads junction of Rowlands Lane, Lime Kiln Shute and Mersley Down Road at around 11:00 after a blue Nissan Micra and a yellow motorcycle collided.
The road has been closed in both directions whilst investigations into the incident take place and recovery of both vehicles is arranged.
Neither of the casualties are believed to have suffered any life-threatening injuries. The motorcyclist – a male in his 20s – has sustained arm injuries whilst the female has been conveyed to hospital having complained of neck pain.
The road remains closed.
UPDATED: The road has now reopened in both directions.
