Two men have been arrested by Police in the Freshwater area on suspicion of burglary this afternoon (Friday).
The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth was tasked at around 13:00 to join officers on the ground in the search for a vehicle believed to be related to a dwelling burglary in the West Wight.
The helicopter circled Freshwater before coming to a hover over Stroud Field, as first reported by Island Echo.
Two men have been detained by Hampshire Constabulary and are currently in custody at Newport Police Station for questioning.
