Two people have been detained by Police following a raid on a Newport property this morning (Monday).
Officers executed a warrant at a residential dwelling on Nelson Road in the town at around 08:50 following the arrival of 6 Police units in the residential street.
Damage has been sustained to the front door of the semi-detached home.
A similar raid was carried out in Nelson Road in April 2013, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Police remain at the property.
