TRIAL TO BE HELD AS RYDE MAN DENIES DRINK DRIVING IN BEMBRIDGE

A Ryde man who denies being behind the wheel of a van whilst drunk will learn his fate when the matter goes to trial later this year. Jason Stone, 39, of Garfield Road, denied a single charge of drink driving when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court earlier this week (Tuesday). It is alleged that in the early hours of 25th February 2024, Mr Stone had been driving his Ford Tipper van along High Street in Bembridge whilst over the limit. Having pleaded not guilty, the case was adjourned until 18th July when a trial will be held at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.
