The Maritime Archaeology Trust has announced the creation of a new 3D model and virtual tour of Fort Victoria in Yarmouth.
Built in the 1850s as one of a series of forts and defences designed to protect the Western Solent from a perceived French threat, the fort has had several uses over its life, and now stands as the focal point of Fort Victoria Country Park.
The photographs for the model were taken in 2015 with a drone, but the National Lottery Heritage Fund Fathoming the Future project has turned it into a 3D model for the first time.
