Lanesend Primary School put on a top performance to secure a podium place in the J Rock Challenge in Southampton yesterday (Thursday).

8 schools from across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight battled it out at the O2 Guildhall last night in front of a packed audience.

Lanesend, the only Island school to be taking to the stage this week, wowed the judges and the supporting audience with their performance of ‘You Don’t Need a Badge To Be Brave’ – a twist on the traditional Wizard of Oz story.
