Stenbury Federation are celebrating after securing a podium spot in last night’s (Tuesday’s) Global Rock Challenge Southern J Rock Final A at the Portsmouth Guildhall.
9 schools from across Hampshire, Dorset, the Isle of Wight, West Sussex and Hertfordshire competed in the closely-fought competition in front of a packed out audience.
Students from Wroxall Primary, Chillerton & Rookley Primary and Godshill Primary make up the Stenbury Federation entry. They impressed the judges with their performance ‘Year and a Day’, which was enough to secure them 3rd place on the podium.
Stenbury were also presented with Awards of Excellence for Stage Use, Concept, Drama, Soundtrack, Costuming Character, Visual Enhancement and Entertainment.
The Bay CE Primary will take to the stage today (Wednesday), with Medina College, Christ the King College and Ryde Academy all performing later in the week.
