A resident of Brighstone Grange care home enjoyed a special visit back to St Mary’s Maternity Unit, where she spent much of her working life as a midwife.
Jo, who is well-known locally for her years supporting mothers and babies, was welcomed by former colleagues and shown around by Tracey, a friend and fellow midwife.
The visit was arranged by staff at Brighstone Grange after learning how much Jo missed her working life and the friendships she made at the hospital. She was delighted to see familiar faces, share memories, and look around the unit to see how things had changed.
Jo misses working as a midwife terribly, and staff said she was beaming throughout the visit.
