UPDATED: Smallbrooke Lane in Ryde has been closed by Police this evening (Thursday) following a three-car road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene between Great Preston Road and Ashey Road at just before 17:00, as first reported by Island Echo.
Motorists are being diverted away from the incident, causing traffic build ups in the surrounding areas.
UPDATE @ 18:28 – Three drivers have escaped any serious injury following this evening’s crash.
Island Echo understands a car came to a stop due to a pothole, causing three other vehicles to collide.
The road has reopened.
