The latest data from Public Health England confirms another small rise in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases on the Isle of Wight.
Despite increased testing through the facility at Medina and home testing via the NHSX app, the number of cases on the Island has not skyrocketed and now sits at 169 – an infection rate of 119.4. This is an increase of just 3 from yesterday.
NHS England report that there have now been 33 coronavirus deaths in hospital, with the Office for National Statistics confirming a further 14 people have died in the community. This brings the total Isle of Wight death toll to 47, as of today.
The latest information from the Isle of Wight NHS Trust confirms 25 people have recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from hospital, although this number has not been updated in some time. It appears the NHS Trust are no longer issuing statements on each death.

Are people who have recovered from it been tested afterwards, or are they just basing it on physical??
My partner has tested positive and been in hospital he’s now recovering at home but he hasn’t been offered another test to see if he is still positive I think all people should have a second test if they are recovering unfortunately we lost lost his mum Thursday night of it too
Hope he recovers soon, keep safe yourself.
