Sixth form students from Christ the King College held a coffee and cake evening at the end of April, in aid of the Refugee Council.
The aptly named ‘RefuTEA’ event was a huge success, raising £264.21 for the charity. Chris the King’s Assistant Head Girl, Skye Williams, organised the event in conjunction with the Refugee Council after studying the subject of refugees for an A-level qualification.
The event was made possible through donations from Chessell Pottery Barns, Newport Salvation Army, Love Coffee, Carisbrooke Co-operative, and students and staff of Christ the King College.
Skye would like to thank all those who helped set up the evening, as well as all those who attended.
