Those living in or near the village of Shorwell will be delighted at the news that they’ll soon be able to shop locally once again.
Shorwell Village Store will open its doors on Thursday 24th January with free tasting sessions from the Island Biscuit Company and the Isle of Wight Cheese Company.
Tim and Tracy, who have taken on the store following its closure last year, will also be offering customers a free hot drink on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week. A free raffle ticket will also be handed out to each customer for the chance of winning a bumper hamper.
This new local shop will sell Island produce including cheese, milk, fruit and vegetables, bread, jams, biscuits and meat. The store will also stock a range of household brands, hot drinks and coal.
The Post Office will return to Shorwell sometime in the Spring.
