A huge thank you has been expressed to Julie and everyone at Shanklin Co-Op from Ability Dogs 4 Young People after the supermarket helped raise £668 for the local charity recently.
Every month the Co-Operative store selects a different local charity to support and in March they selected Ability Dogs 4 Young People.
The staff baked cakes and invited the Sandown-based charity in store for 2 collection days. It was a great opportunity for the charity’s representatives to interact with staff and customers. Everyone had fun, including Ability Dog puppies in training.
Through the sale of cakes and the generosity of the public donations, Ability Dogs 4 Young People raised a total of £668.48.
Carol Court, founder of Ability Dogs 4 Young People said:
“We are so grateful to Julie and her team for choosing us. It is thanks to the support of the local community that we are able to continue to provide practical support to help disabled young people and children on the Isle of Wight.”
