Isle of Wight MP Bob Seely is preparing an amendment to a bill in Parliament to deprive the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of their Royal titles so that they will in future be known as plain Mr and Mrs Windsor – or Mr and Mrs Markle, as Meghan clearly wears the trousers in their relationship.
The moaning Markles have recently released a 3-part Netflix series which includes further sleights towards his father, King Charles, his brother, William Prince of Wales and even the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Rachael Maskell, Labour MP for York Central, has already tabled a bill to strip the disgraced Duke of York – Prince Andrew – of his title.
Bob believes it possible to relieve the Markles of their burdensome aristocratic monikers by introducing an amendment to the 1917 Title Deprivation Act. This would enable the Privy Council to vote to strip members of the Royal Council of their honorary designations.
Mr Seely has said on GB News:
“The Duke and Duchess hate this country so much, hate the institutions, hate the monarchy, that either they should be giving up the titles themselves or we should be helping them to do that.”
Bob has also explained the process of depriving Harry and Meghan of their titles on his Twitter feed, writing:
“Harry and Meghan Windsor’s Netflix narcissism isn’t just a case of monetising misery, family dysfunction or sad soap opera. The Royals are part of the UK constitution, and when Windsor trashes family he trashes it. Let’s not pretend it’s not political.
Article continues below this advertisement “Harry Windsor should voluntarily relinquish his titles. If he doesn’t, Parliament should act to remove them. If Harry Windsor doesn’t like the monarchy, don’t be part of it, but don’t use your titles AND trash the institution.
“Parliament’s experts have been looking at some old laws. One, The Titles Deprivation Act 1917 stripped German royals of their UK titles during WWI. A change of wording would update the law, allowing Parliament to remove Harry’s titles.
“(1) The Titles Deprivation Act 1917 is amended as follows. (2) In the Title, omit “Enemy”. (3) In the title of section 1 (Forfeiture of title of peer or prince held by enemy), omit “held by enemy”.
“In subsection (1) of section 1, remove “have, during the present war, borne arms against His Majesty or His Allies, or who have adhered to His Majesty’s enemies”, and substitute “is referred to the committee by a resolution of the House of Commons”
“And hey presto, the Duke and Duchess become Mr and Mrs Windsor, and they can live in privacy for the rest of their lives, whilst the proper, ‘working’ royals can continue to serve our nation, as William and Kate (and Edward and Anne) do so brilliantly.”

There are more and more people struggling to get by every day, unable to see a dentist, being treated in corridors in the hospital, unable to pay their rent and bills, literally struggling to keep a roof over their heads. Concern yourself with important issues like, how much our one and only hospital is struggling, lack of carers so our social care is practically non existent, pensioners and many others scared to put on their central heating due to horrendously high costs or eat healthy, nutritious hot meals!

I care far more about Seely’s craving for attention than I do about the alleged attention seeking of any royals, particularly those living independently on the other side of the Atlantic. Don’t know if it’s passed you by Bob, but you are actually being paid to represent the interests of the Isle of Wight, you know, that little Island off the south coast of England. Not quite grand enough for your attention perhaps, unless there’s half-a-sausage and a bit of brown nosing going for free.

If only Mr Seely would put the same amount of effort into supporting the Island and other Bills that he sat on the fence or voted against the majority of general public opinion. He calls Meghan and Harry narcissistic he himself is not far off the mark. Everyone has their views on this couple and if we just ignore their antics they will hopefully either show themselves for what they are or give up the need to seek attention. If it wasn’t for their children I think Harry would returned to the UK in 10 years. Meghan is the person in need to attention all the time, that in itself is a full time job, Harry is just a follower and one day he will wake up.
Can you get a dentist? No, a doctor’s appointment in a reasonable time? No, is the hospital at breaking point? Yes, have the emergency services been cut to the bone and are at breaking point? Yes, and it goes on and on and on…But never mind all that, our MP has decided to take a break from talking about Russia and Ukraine and is now spearheading another pointless crusade. Don’t let the things that really matter to our island get in the way.
