Santa visited the Freshwater Independent Lifeboat grotto on Saturday and, despite the horrible weather, met up with lots of old friends.
One of the youngsters to visit Santa at Freshwater Bay this year was 2-year-old Kai Plant, who last visited the lifeboat Grotto with his mum Michaela when he was just 9 months old.
Leira the Icelandic snow pony was also attendance and once again proved to be a great favourite with the children.
Thanks to sponsors Cooperative Funeral Services (Freshwater), Medina Food Services and The Entertainer Toy shop, the event was entirely free for the little ones with a gift and mince pies for all.
Kind donations on the day from grateful parents amounted to £320 which will help the Freshwater Independent Lifeboat with their operations.
Rod Adams, Principal Fundraiser said:
“This day is for the children and not about making money, it is our way of saying a huge thank you to the community who support us so well throughout the year, and of course we are so lucky that Santa can fit us in to his busy schedule”.
