35-year-old Joshua Pelling has pleaded guilty to a string of child sex offences, including inciting a 10-year-old girl to engage in penetrative sexual activity.
Pelling, of Avenue Road in Sandown, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on 30th August but the case was so serious it was adjourned to the Crown Court, where earlier today (Monday) the 35-year-old pleaded guilty to a total of 21 charges.
The court heard details of Pelling’s paedophilic offending, which dated between April 2015 and March 2019.
A total of 6 girls – all under the age of 16 – were found to be victims, the youngest being just 10. Some of the girls were asked to complete sexual tasks and send sexual images or videos of themselves. The victims included girls in the UK and across the pond in America.
Of the 21 charges, 8 relate to indecent images of children – namely 15x Category A, 143x Category B and 459x Category C. Other offences include 6x engaging in sexual communication with a child, 4x causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity (penetration), 2x causing/inciting a girl 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity (no penetration) and 1x causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity (no penetration).
Barry McElduff, prosecuting, told the court that Pelling showed ‘highly predatory behaviour’ during the lengthy time frame of the offences, and that the 35-year-old had made some partial admissions of the crimes in Police interview as far back as 2019.
The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be compiled. Pelling, who is on bail, will return to the Crown Court for sentencing on 6th December.
If this freak don’t go to jail for a very long time, then it will show our law/court system is rendered useless.

Quite. The authorities are clearly not protecting us from such as him, so all of our young are left vulnerable. When will lawmakers and enforcers engage with the public’s fears from such crimes ?
