A 39-year-old Sandown man, who admitted committing 4 sexual offences involving children, is to be sentenced next month. Stephen Maidment, of Beachfield Road in the town, has admitted attempting to cause/incite a female child aged under 13 years to engage in sexual activity, making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, attempting to cause a child aged under 13 years to watch/look at an image of sexual activity, and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. All of the above offences were committed between 4th November and 15th December 2019 here on the Island. The 39-year-old is to be sentenced at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 30th April.
