Students from Ryde Academy are no doubt celebrating this morning after taking third place in the Global Rock Challenge 2019 Southern Premier Final in Portsmouth last night (Saturday).
9 schools from across Hampshire, London, the Isle of Wight, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and West Sussex competed in the closely-fought competition at the Portsmouth Guildhall.
Ryde’s performance of ‘Standing Where Her Shadow Fell’ impressed the judges enough to secure a podium position. In addition, Awards of Excellence were picked up for Choreography, Performance Skill, Stage Use, Concept, Drama, Set Design and Function, Costuming Character, Visual Enhancement, Entertainment and Stage Crew.
All dancers from all schools done a fantastic job. Lovely to watch. Well done Ryde Academy!!!
