A 42-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after an incident at a pub on Newport High Street last night (Saturday).
Police were called just after 20:30 to reports of a male being aggressive at The Castle Inn on Newport High Street where another man suffered minor injuries.
Officers attended and arrested a 42-year-old man from Ryde on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The man remains in Police custody at this time.
