Queen legend Sir Brian May has visited the Isle of Wight and took the opportunity to have fish and chips by the beach in Sandown.
Brian complimented the team at The Reef on their food and service and enjoyed an afternoon sat outside enjoying some drinks with his friends today (Tuesday).
It is thought that 1 of those dining with him was fellow Queen legend, Roger Taylor.
He was served by Josh, the son of owners Mike and Emma Paine, and the team at the The Reef said they were honoured to meet him and described him as ‘a lovely man’.
After his meal, Brian went and had a paddle on the beach where he is thought to have played as a child.
Island Echo understands that Sir Brian left the Island earlier this evening via helicopter directly from Sandown Airport. The luxury helicopter was once part of The Queen’s Flight.

Brian would have enjoyed Tony’s in Ryde just as much
No, I don’t think so!
Tony was my cousin; sadly, he passed away.
That’s a great shame but the wonderful fish and chips restaurant is still there and serves good food
How fantastic – Brian May and the best beach on this beautiful Island – wonderful combination!
