Quay Arts are calling on emerging and established artists to submit works for the centre’s biennial Open Exhibition 2017 entitled ‘I must down to the seas again’.
Artists are being invited to showcase their work, which has been inspired by the sea and/or the marine environment, in any medium. The exhibition will feature in the West Gallery.
The title of the exhibition ‘I must down to the seas again’ is from John Masefield’s original ‘Sea Fever’ poem.
Submissions must be received by midnight on Sunday 21st May. A £20 submission fee applies and entrants must be at least 18-years-old.
The exhibition will open between Saturday 29th July and Friday 22nd September 2017 following a preview and prize giving night on Saturday 29th July. The prize is a solo exhibition in the West Gallery in 2019.
