With the Island’s popular carnival parades on hold since 2019, Sandown Carnival has come up with an alternative way for all the family to dress up and have fun this summer in Sandown.
Carnival chair Paul Coueslant explains:
“So many people have told us how much they’ve been missing the Island’s summer parades, we thought we’d provide an outlet for all that creative talent bursting to express itself for a couple of years…with a free-to-enter fancy dress photo competition.
Article continues below this advertisement “We’re offering cash prizes in four categories and hope people will have a lot of fun putting together their entries”.
All you need to take part is a good idea, a camera and a Google account. Photos must be taken on the Isle of Wight and the deadline for entries is 25th August at 13:00.
1st prize is £50, with £30 for 2nd and £20 for 3rd with a total of 4 categories: children, adults, groups of 2-7 and groups of 7+.
