Undertakers at The Co-Operative Funeral Home in Shanklin have been left red-faced after Queen’s hit ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ was blasted out by mistake – directly outside the funeral parlour.
The 1980 hit came on the radio of a private ambulance used to transport bodies around the Island. It was spotted parked up outside the parlour on Carter Road with the door open. Passers-by then heard Freddie Mercury and Co’s song playing on the stereo.
The comedy moment happened on Wednesday this week. One onlooker filmed it as he and pal started laughing before one quips: “Oh dear.”
He said:
“I was walking to my doctors to post a prescription when I suddenly saw a private ambulance with a driver’s door open. I couldn’t believe it as I got closer I heard Another One Bites the Dust by Queen playing out on the radio. “Some would say it was great comedy timing. It was real dark humour.
“There was nothing intentional though, it just happened to come on the radio.”

Another one bites the dust is a phrase which dates back to the 18th century. It is used to describe someone dying, in particular soldiers on the battlefield.
A Southern Co-op Funeralcare spokesperson said:
“We’re very sorry if this has caused any offence.
“We will be reminding drivers to be more mindful to avoid any similar oversights in the future.”
News has travelled far and wide, featuring on national publications such as LadBible and the MailOnline.
Unless done deliberately then allow workers some joy.
Many of us are working hard to keep a growing population of lazy, charity kept scroungers who do nothing but moan.
I am sure in this case it is something to laugh about, not some disrespectful low lives.
Just remember that not all charity kept scroungers have a choice some are medically not able to work but do have to agree that there are to many lazy one that think that Society owes them everything

How can the co-op Funeral care tell the drivers to be more mindful at the end of the day the drivers don’t pick what comes on the radio it was just unfortunate timing but is really funny

A 40 year long friend of mine had, “They Re coming to take me away” at his cremation…..loosen up.
Hilarious, lets have more of this sort of behaviour, it winds up the snowflakes.
Not really blasting out is it. Sounds like the radio was on and the radio station put the track on. And not that loud.
Definitely gonna play that at my funeral …..
We all need to lighten up it’s a song on the radio and I personally find it quite amusing …..
