Police have confirmed the identity of a body that was found in East Cowes on Sunday as that of 63-year-old Nigel Robert Greenyer from Godalming in Surrey.
As first reported by Island Echo, Police and Coastguard teams were called to Seymour Court at around 09:00 on Sunday morning after floating bridge staff spotted a body in the water.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
