UPDATED: Police are tonight (Sunday) attending an incident in Cowes where it is understood a man has been attacked with a knife in a domestic incident.
Several Police units are on the scene at Love Lane, Cowes where it is understood a male and female have been involved in an incident inside a residential dwelling, resulting in the male receiving knife-related injuries.
UPDATE @ 22:45 – A man has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Unconfirmed reports from eyewitnesses suggest the man has lost at least one finger.
A female has been arrested by Police and taken to Newport Police Station for questioning.
Local residents have described hearing banging and fighting from inside the house before seeing the man outside the property covered in blood.
Officers remain on the scene and are searching the property.
UPDATE MONDAY @09:50 – Police remain at the property in Love Lane this morning as investigations continue.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a 35-year-old woman was arrested and is being questioned.
