A car has been left at the roadside for recovery following a crash in Binstead this evening (Wednesday).
Police were called to the scene on Binstead Road at around 20:30 after a Hyundai i20 crashed into a number of bollards at the edge of the carriageway, coming to a stop sideways on the grass.
The vehicle, which was travelling from Ryde, has sustained front-end damage. It remains in-situ for recovery with Police aware noticed erected.
It is unclear how the incident occurred but no arrests have been made and the elderly occupants have escaped injury.
Very unusual on the island and in the young and old as well.
I witnessed this happen just outside my house and instantly ran over to check if they’re ok
Any ideas what happened.
