POLICE CALLED TO MINOR CRASH IN BINSTEAD – BOLLARDS DAMAGED

A car has been left at the roadside for recovery following a crash in Binstead this evening (Wednesday).

Police were called to the scene on Binstead Road at around 20:30 after a Hyundai i20 crashed into a number of bollards at the edge of the carriageway, coming to a stop sideways on the grass.

The vehicle, which was travelling from Ryde, has sustained front-end damage. It remains in-situ for recovery with Police aware noticed erected.

It is unclear how the incident occurred but no arrests have been made and the elderly occupants have escaped injury.
