
A trio of runners from the Isle of Wight put in personal best performances at the Goodwood Grand Prix event over the weekend.
Running has always been their strongest triathlon discipline and this showed at the weekend when Wight Tri members Jonathan Woodhouse, Natalie Lawrence and Joe Norman displayed strong performances at one of the first organised running events of the year.
Competing in the half marathon, Natalie ran a personal best time of 01:23:12 to place within the top 10 females. Natalie was 7th in the senior age group and 8th female overall.
Jonathan also produced a personal best run in the 10km event, crossing the line in 00:39:27 – 33rd senior Male and 51st male overall.
Joe took on the full marathon distance and ran a personal best of over 14 minutes, finishing in 3:34:40 and 7th in the Male 50+ category.
Natalie and Jonny are now looking forward to their first swim, bike, run events in a couple of weeks time- Natalie will be racing at the Eton Sprints weekend and Jonny will be taking on The Huntsman triathlon in the New Forest.
