PARAMEDICS ATTEND TO PEDESTRIAN ON MAIN ROAD

ambulanceofficernightrrvUPDATED: Paramedics are this evening (Wednesday) attending to a pedestrian who has been injured on the main road between Ryde and Newport following a suspected road traffic collision.

Emergency services were called to the A3054 Binstead Road near to Rufflers Way at just before 20:00.

One pedestrian is currently being attended to by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and is laying in the middle of the carriageway.

Police are also in attendance.

The road currently remains open, however delays are likely.

UPDATE @ 20:45 – It has been confirmed that paramedics are attending to a person who has collapsed on the main road at Binstead, however a collision has thankfully been ruled out.

One person is being conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
