A rogue swan caused delays to those using Ryde Pier last night (Wednesday).
Commuters and those looking to travel during the half-term were just some of those held up by the bird as it wandered proudly along the walkway.
The mischievous animal decided to walk up the pier in the middle of the road leaving no room for anyone to pass it.
1 member of the public even tried to hurry the swan, ushering it up the pier, but the Royal bird didn’t oblige.
Once it had reached the top, it then decided to come back down again leading the cars behind it in some sort of parade like scenario.
Eventually, the Swan was safely moved allowing traffic to move up and down the pier freely once again.

It didn’t say much, must have been a mute swan.
Perhaps the trains weren’t running !!!!!!!
Maybe it’s the council’s new initiative to stop people breaking the 10mph speed limit down the pier.
