The trailer for the upcoming Bollywood film ‘An Action Hero’ – partly shot on the Isle of Wight – has gained over 20million views on Youtube in just 4 days.
Anyone watching the trailer who is familiar with the Isle of Wight will recognise a number of scenes shot along the Military Road in West Wight and in the town of Ventnor.
Island residents may also recognise friends and neighbours in the video as local extras were used in the production.
An Action Hero, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, was shot locally in the first 2 months of this year. It will be released in India on 2nd December 2022.
A further Bollywood film is currently being filmed on the Island. Filming took place in St Thomas’ Square and Newport Quay this Sunday (13th November). Several extras from the Isle of Wight have been hired for the production and will appear in the film.
