Ventnor Men’s Shed has moved to a well-equipped Portakabin workshop at Boniface Fields, opposite the old St Boniface Primary School on Leeson Road.
The move has been facilitated by the Ventnor Town Council, which intends to base several community groups and allotments on the fields.
Ventnor’s shed has power, hand tools and plenty of advice for anyone with a project and is open to anyone over the age of 18.
‘Men’s Shed’ movement started in Australia, where there are over 1,000 sheds. There are more than 400 in the UK.
The new shed’s opening hours are Tuesdays 10:00-14:00; Wednesdays 18:00-20:30 and Saturdays 10:00-14:00.
