Acclaim Logistics has launched Island Delivery Co, a dedicated 2-man delivery service designed to make mainland shopping simpler and more accessible for Isle of Wight residents.
For years, many major UK retailers have been unable or unwilling to deliver large or bulky items directly to the island. Island Delivery Co. removes that barrier with a seamless mainland-to-home service, allowing customers to order from any retailer and have their purchases delivered safely and professionally to their door.
The process is simple: customers use Acclaim’s Chandlers Ford depot as their delivery address when ordering online. Once the goods arrive, Island Delivery Co.’s specialist team collects them and completes the final leg of the journey – delivering items into the home, positioning them where needed, and removing all packaging for recycling.
Launched ahead of the busy Black Friday and Christmas shopping season, the service provides a much-needed solution for islanders who frequently face delivery restrictions, surcharges, or outright refusals from some retailers.
