Did you buy a lottery ticket recently? If so, you might want to check your numbers again. The National Lottery has announced that they are looking for a player who purchased a EuroMillions ticket in September. The ticket was bought in Walsall and is worth over one million pounds – a substantial prize that is just waiting to be claimed.
Lottery players in Walsall are urged to double-check their lottery numbers or to check their tickets online via the National Lottery’s website or app. The draw in question took place on September 18th, and only one of the winners hasn’t come forward to claim his or her prize yet. The winning code was ZVKP 53227.
Advisor at the National Lottery, Andy Carter, said in a statement: “We are desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings. This amazing prize could really make a massive difference to somebody’s life.”. He continued: “We are encouraging everyone to check their tickets online via The National Lottery website or via The National Lottery App where possible, or in their local shop.”.
The EuroMillions Millionaire Maker is guaranteed to make at least one new millionaire in every draw. The draw that took place on September 18th was extra special – a total of 20 new millionaires were created in that single draw. But while 19 of the 20 winners were thrilled to claim their prizes, one player from Walsall must have forgotten to check their numbers.
The National Lottery is now trying to locate the winner as quickly as possible. The player has to claim the prize before March 17th 2021, which is just six months away. If they don’t come forward before then, the money will be out of reach forever. Andy Carter and the National Lottery now urge everyone who played in the lottery to check the pockets of clothing, wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – places where the ticket could have been lost.
This is not the first time someone forgot to claim their winnings from the National Lottery: there’s a staggering £60 million pounds worth of unclaimed lottery money this year alone. This includes one ticket that is worth £58 million, an amount that would change the winner’s life. In cases where prizes are unclaimed after 180 days, the prize money is used to fund various National Lottery Projects, which are often UK charities.
One of the many benefits of playing at online casinos is that the jackpots are paid out to the winners automatically. Some online slot machines, including Mega Fortune, Hall of Gods and Mega Moolah, have jackpots that can climb to tens of millions of pounds. These progressive jackpots are funded by millions of bets from players over a long period, which means that the lucky winner is guaranteed to receive their prize after winning.
Until the winner from Walsall claims the lottery money, we can only agree with Andy Carter: “We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”.
