Electro-indie quintet, Nakamarra, are to release their new single ‘Hide’ later this month.
Since forming in mid-2016, the band have been proving their worth both on the live scene and in the studio. After releasing their debut EP ‘ZACAPA’ in 2016, the group of young 20-somethings went on to release a slew of singles before dropping their sought-after second EP ‘Glitter and Mess’ late last year.
Despite enjoying a fully-packed festival season, the band’s biggest highlight arguably came in the form of a main stage performance at the Isle of Wight Festival, supporting the likes of The Kooks, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Arcade Fire. What’s more, they boast being handpicked as Invaders of the Future stage’s closing act by Bestival curator and key supporter, Rob da Bank.
The brand new single ‘Hide’ is to be released on 23rd February via Isle of Wight indie label, Chalkpit Records. The track is a sweet, dreamlike backdrop, which marries twinkling synths and pulsating riffs with the rich, room-filling vocals of lead singer Charlie Jones.
To promote the new single, the band will be embarking on a 5 date tour with Southampton 4-piece, Wild Front, this month. The tour will cover dates across the South West, including Brighton, Southampton, Bath, Bristol, as well as a closing show at Strings in Newport on 23rd February.
