6-year-old Connie Jackson joined her grandparents, Viv and Garry Willis, when they performed a mini pop concert for charity outside their Appley home last Saturday.
More than 50 people, including Mayor of Ryde Cllr Michael Lilley, watched and listened as singer Garry, keyboard player Viv and Connie on the drums belted out hit covers from the 1970s and 1980s, plus other songs.
The event, held as part of Isle of Wight Day, raised £115 for Ryde Inshore Rescue.
Little Connie, who got her drum kit as a present, is being taught to play by grandad Garry.
Garry said:
“Connie was brilliant. This was the first time she’d played in public and everyone loved it.”
He and Viv played in the 1970-80 pop group White Satin, which was very successful on the pub and club circuit on the mainland.
