A mum has taken to social media to criticise a group of teenagers who irresponsibly set off a number of fireworks in Los Altos Park, Sandown this afternoon (Sunday).
At just gone 16:00, it’s said that around 8 teenagers ignited a number of fireworks in the heavily graffitied monument area of the popular public park, which in turns created what has been described as 2 ‘massive explosions’.
Aimee, a mum-of-2 who was enjoying the open space in the sunshine at the time, has said that her children and dogs were scared by the incident. She has described the actions of the group ‘absolutely disgusting’.
1 fire appliance from Sandown responded to the scene and extinguished the fire that had developed. They had stood down by 16:30.

Look at the state of those lovely steps. These bloody federal kids aren’t happy unless they are smashing or tagging. If found, they should be made to go and clear up the mess they leave and scrub all that sh*t off the steps and walls.
