UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision between a motorcyclist and a pedestrian in Binstead tonight (Saturday).
Police have closed the road in both directions at Ryde Golf Course whilst paramedics attend to the casualty, who is not thought to have sustained any life-threatening injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area. Southern Vectis Route 9 buses are affected.
UPDATE @ 20:16 – The road has now been reopened in both directions under Police direction, however traffic remains heavy.
The casualty, a male in his 50s, has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.
The motorcyclist is uninjured, however shaken.
No other vehicles have been involved.
