A motorcycle and a car have collided on the main through road in Ryde this morning (Thursday).
The incident has occurred on St John’s Road, at the junction with Warwick Street.
Police are in attendance but the crash has been cleared to the side of the road.
Thankfully, no serious injuries have been sustained and the male motorcyclist has been able to move out of the carriageway.
Traffic is heavy in the area and access to the one-way Warwick Street is currently blocked.
UPDATE – It’s understood that the motorcyclist has been conveyed to hospital by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service for further assessment and treatment.
