The Gordon Endler Memorial Ride will take place this Saturday (26th June), starting at midday from St George’s football ground in Newport.
Gordon was tragically killed in a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Whitwell in July 2020 when a van emerged from a side road.
The ride is being held in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, whose flying doctors attended the incident. Anyone who wishes to remember Gordon Endler or help raise money for the air ambulance are welcome.
It will follow Route 12 round the island (Newport football ground out to Freshwater Bay via Forest Road and Thorley Road where the group will stop. The ride will then move along Military Road to Blackgang Viewpoint where it will stop again. From there the riders will make their way back to Newport football ground via Newport Road from Niton, past the crash site.
