Medina Marching Band have reached out to Islanders for information relating to the theft of £250 worth of equipment at St Helens Carnival yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday).
The Corps of Drums section of the band had their spare parade sticks and a bag stolen whilst the annual carnival was making its way through the village.
A member of the band inadvertently failed to pack all of the gear away to the safety of the locked van. The bag was left in the open beside the van and was soon pinched by persons unknown.
Anyone with information can contact the band through their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mmbisleofwight/.
Medina Marching Band will next be performing at Sandown Illuminated Carnival on Wednesday.

Try the caravans where the fare ground operators have been staying !!!
You should be ashamed of yourself , maybe we should check out your property.
Not all pikeys are bad..tschh tschh
You can’t blame the fairground operators you twat!
Thank you for covering this we all work hard for ourselves and representing our community wherever we play we are totally self funded and replacements will need to be bought unless they are found so will have an impact on our finances and what we do throughout the year.
Really sorry to hear of your loss, being a member of FaT Samba, I realise that as the bag and sticks were not locked in the van, they were not insured. Sticks are not cheap.
