Police officers from both the Isle of Wight and the mainland have descended on a Newport property this morning (Thursday) as part of a suspected drugs warrant.
Police resources from both the Island and the mainland are on scene on Albany Road, off Hunnyhill, where a warrant is being executed.
Island Echo understands that officers are searching for illegal substances.
The attendance has been scaled up due to presence of numerous dogs inside the targeted property.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have been approached for comment, with further updates expected later today.
