The Isle of Wight Lottery has announced its latest £10,000 winner – long-time supporter Wayland Barker, who has been playing for over 20 years.
Wayland was recently presented with his cheque after being drawn as the top prize winner.
The Isle of Wight Lottery, which has been running since 2001, plays a key role in supporting the local economy. By offering 0% loans to Island businesses and start-ups, the lottery helps to create and sustain jobs across the Isle of Wight.
To date, the scheme has loaned over £1.3million and helped to create more than 450 jobs.
Each week, players are in with a chance to win £1,000, as well as 1 of 10 £100 prizes. The next big opportunity will be the £5,000 Summer draw taking place on 18th July.
Megan Barrett, of the Isle of Wight Lottery, has said:
“We’re over the moon to surprise Wayland with £10,000. We are so thankful that he continued to play all this time and support the Isle of Wight Lottery.”
Wayland has revealed he plans to enjoy a well-earned cruise with his winnings.
