To celebrate the launch of her latest book, children’s author and illustrator Zoe Sadler has teamed up with Lord Louis Library and Waterstones in Newport to run an art competition.
‘Chasing Butterflies’ is Zoe’s third children’s book and is set to be released on the 1st June 2018 which coincides with International Butterfly Education and Awareness Day (BEAD) the following day. BEAD celebrate butterflies and promotes the importance and joy of butterfly gardening and habitat creation and restoration.
Chasing Butterflies is a tale about a free spirited girl called Nova, a very determined little girl with one goal in mind; to catch a butterfly.
Zoe says:
“The book is also a reminder to us to live in the moment and enjoy the experiences that come our way. Bringing us back to a time when we were like Nova and unafraid to chase those dreams, or those butterflies!”
The competition is open to all ages and has a butterfly theme to compliment Zoe’s new book. Entrants are being asked to design their own beautiful and colourful butterfly. To enter all you have to do is pick up a butterfly template sheet from Lord Louis Library or Waterstones in Newport.
The best entries will win special edition copies of Zoe’s new book Chasing Butterflies and certificates to congratulate them on their winning creations.
The closing date for entries into the ‘Design Your Own Butterfly’ competition is 9th June 2018. Winners will be announced at a prize giving event at Lord Louis Library on 16th June.
If you would like to hear Zoe read Chasing Butterflies or purchase your own signed copy Zoe will also be having a book signing on Saturday 2nd June, from 11:00-12:00 at Waterstones.
