The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has this morning (Monday) airlifted a patient from Ryde to the mainland for treatment.
The life-saving charity were called to land at Simeon Street Rec at the request of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, arriving at the scene at just gone 11:00.
Island Echo understands a male patient suffering from cardiac problems has been airlifted to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
The red and yellow helicopter spent just 25 minutes on the ground.
