Havenstreet & Ashey Parish Council launched their Age Friendly Parish Report at the monthly market in Havenstreet Community Centre over the bank holiday weekend.
The report identifies the range of community resources available in the Parish, as well as outlines potential areas for development.
Age Friendly Parish Champion Cllr Sue Lyons said:
“We like to thank Lisa Toyne, from Community Action/Age UK, for working with us to put the Report together, and we hope to use it as a catalyst to ‘age-proof’ future development proposals, and also to help prioritise resource allocation in the future”.
Parish Chairman Cllr Veronica Hattersley added:
“We are currently looking at options to develop the Recreation Ground to provide amenities across the generations, alongside possible meadowed zones”.
The report is available in the Community Centre, the White Hart Inn and other locations across in both Havenstreet and Ashey, as well as from Parish Councillors. Action Plans in the report will also be discussed at the Parish Meeting on Thursday 7th June 2018.
