UPDATED: Up to 10 Police units are in attendance at a disturbance in Oakfield, Ryde tonight (Friday).
The large response was initiated shortly before 23:45 when Police received reports of a large group of youths causing issues at an event at Oakfield Football Club.
Officers are dispersing the crowd of around 40 young men and woman, some of whom appear intoxicated.
1 female is being cared for by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service after drinking and ‘smoking weed’.
Another female, thought to be working as a doorman at the venue, has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with injuries to her arm.
Local residents have raised concerns about continuing problems at the venue, which often results in damage to parked cars.
UPDATE @ 00:25 – The group of troublesome youths have now been dispersed from the immediate area, however Police remain.
It is unknown if any arrests have been made.
