For the third year running, Isle of Wight man David Rogers will be donning his big red jacket and walking through the streets of Cowes on Christmas Eve to help spread festive cheer to all – whilst raising money for charity.
He has spent all year growing his beard for the realistic effect and now the time has come for 47-year-old David to once again dress up as Father Christmas to help raise money for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and The Fire Fighters charity.
Since 2015, David, who by day runs ‘All About Catering’, has dressed up as Santa and taken a stroll through Cowes on 24th December. He does this in dedication to the air ambulance team who helped save the life of one of his best friends.
Over the past 3 years David’s commitment to being Santa has grown ten-fold. He now goes into schools, nurserys and local shops in his own free time throughout December. You can often find him going from being Santa, straight into a dinner service for his paying customers.
His first appearance this year was during the Late Night Shopping in Cowes on Thursday 29th November. Since then he has gone into several schools, a birthday party and has a number of fayres yet to come.
His last stop for 2018 will be on Christmas Eve, where you will find him and his trusty elf walking the streets of Cowes; raising more money, stopping and chatting to the children and even giving them a little treat.
