Wightlink is celebrating 25 years of supporting Jay Miller’s Circus on its annual visit to the Isle of Wight to entertain residents and holidaymakers alike.
After running away to join the circus at the age of 14, Jon Miller fulfilled his dream of starting his own show 9 years later. This year the Circus is marking 30 years on the road and 25 years on the Island. He estimates more than half a million people have watched the show on the Isle of Wight up to now.
Jon says:
“It seems like a lifetime ago when we started, mobile phones were unknown and the Internet hadn’t even been invented in 1987. Although the Circus has moved with the times, it is still a great family tradition and I’m proud to say my daughters Charlotte, Jodi and Paige are among our performers”.
Wightlink’s Chief Executive, Keith Greenfield has said:
“The circus vehicle combinations are some of the biggest loads we transport from Portsmouth to Fishbourne but we are delighted to bring the greatest show on earth to the Isle of Wight every summer”.
Jay Miller’s Circus are performing at Whippingham until Sunday 3rd September 2017.
