Organisers behind Jack up the Summer say they are continuing to plan to host this year’s event as normal on 6th-8th August.
Following the publication of the Government’s roadmap last month, the team behind the family-friendly festival are reassuring all contractors, suppliers, traders, charities and attendees that they are doing absolutely everything they can to keep everybody safe this Summer.
The team say they are actively monitoring the evolving landscape to shape a return that puts everyone’s safety and that of the Island community at the very heart of it.
Last year’s event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and 2019 was hit by bad weather. All tickets, including partially paid instalment tickets, for the 2020 event have been rolled over to this year’s event.
The 2021 line up includes Heaven 17, Heather Small, Doctor and the Medics and Black Lace with bonus artists to be revealed soon.

To soon for this. Oh well we shall see. I will consult my crystal ball and see what the future predicts.

In plain speak whatever they have will be passed on to the locals for safe keeping.
Blah blah blah! Stop being so miserable
Great, I’ll be there!
I will be too and the Festival as outside events have been proved by science to be safe, add the vaccine to mix and you have a very good situation.
Wait until next year, then we can all be safe.
they said that last year
Unbelievable there are still people like you. Unless you are being sarcastic?
Why not wait, say, another 10 years until we are ‘safe’… PATHETIC!
Too soon, just like Giddings. Another superspreader event, just so folks can earn a wedge !
September, everyone over the age of 18 vaccinated. How does a superspreader work with a vaccine?
Festivals are not the most hygienic places at the best of time – folk using bushes, trees and hoardings as toilets so therefore not washing hands. The toilets are generally filthy with just cleanser to ‘wash hands’ .. unless of course people want the pay a fortune for nature zone toilets. There will be no hands face space at these events.
Vaccines do give protection, however, like all vaccines it is not a matter of not getting but lowering the severity.
No I’m not anti festivals I go to them all, but have grave concerns about this year.
Jack up is NOTHING like that.
Get me in pub garden first! Then talk about festivals
