Isle of Wight band Wet Leg have shared their debut single ‘Chaise Longue’ with the world.
Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers found themselves at the summit of a Ferris wheel when they decided to start a band. Arming themselves with guitars, a penchant for French disco, effervescent imaginations and a shared love of The Ronettes and Jane Birkin, through to Ty Segall and Bjork, they set about making some recordings of their own.
The duo have now signed to one of the world’s biggest independent record labels, Domino Records.
Produced by Jon McMullen and mixed by Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Beach House, Foals), Chaise Longue is an infectious, tongue-in-cheek instant classic with a suitably irrepressible video (directed by the band themselves) to match.
Wet Leg have a string of UK live shows lined up for 2021, including dates with Declan McKenna, Latitude and Isle of Wight Festival plus Sports Team’s annual Margate Bus Trip.

They look pretty fit.
